Terry M. Jackson 72, of Jeffersonville passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1945, in Temple, TX, to the late Robert and Edith Chase Jackson. Terry leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Henson Jackson. Terry was a veteran, serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Terry retired from Dayton Power and Light after more than 40 years with the company.  He was an active member of Jeffersonville United Methodist Church, Kairos Prison Ministry, and the Jeffersonville Lions Club.  He also served on the Election, EMT, and Jeffersonville United Methodist Boards. Terry was a past mayor of Jeffersonville and member of the Town Council.  He and his family were part of the  AFS program, hosting numerous exchange students from around the world. Terry dedicated his life to serving others and his community. 

In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by his sons, Timothy (Melissa) Jackson of Indianapolis and Todd (Krystal) Jackson of Washington C.H.; three sisters, Barbara Jackson of Yellow Springs, Brenda Jackson of Sebastian,FL, and Beverly (Don) Brunka of Vacaville, CA; grandchildren, Bryce Jackson of Clovis, CA and Oliver Jackson of Indianapolis, step grandchildren Tabitha (Christopher) Anderson of Jeffersonville and Kathryn Berryhill of Paris, TN; great grandchildren Emma, Ellie and Evelyn Anderson of Jeffersonville.  

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church with Pastor Thomas Knauff officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Cemetery, Tip City. Friends may call at the church on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 5-7PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Fayette or to the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church.
