Thomas M. Mossbarger, age 84, a resident of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully in his residence, on Friday, June 9, 2017. 

Tom was born in Fayette County to the late Mitchell and Emily (Little) Mossbarger.   In 1950, he graduated from Fairfield High School in Leesburg.  After graduation, he worked on the family farm for 9 years.  On November 8, 1959, Tom was married to Maxine A. (Bloom) Mossbarger of Sugar-tree Ridge, Ohio. In 1968, he became a Real estate Agent and earned his credential as a realtor. For the next Thirty Five years he served the community as realtor, auctioneer, and eventually owned his own company.  Other community affiliations include past president of the Kiwanis Club and Farm Bureau, as well as distributor of Gideon Bibles.  Tom was a devout Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Washington CH where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  After retirement, Tom enjoyed spending time with his wife, traveled on vacations, and played Euchre.

Tom is survived by his wife Maxine, son Timothy Mossbarger of Leesburg, and daughter Mary Ruth Mossbarger of Worthington; 3 grandchildren David (Amanda) Mossbarger of Greenfield, Ashley (Chris) Harper of Springfield and Kayla Mossbarger of Wash C.H.; 4 great grandchildren Colton and Preston Mossbarger, Patrick and Emily Harper, and 1 cousin  John Mossbarger of Houston, TX.

Visitation & services will be held At the First Baptist Church of Washington Court House                                           301 E. East Street Box 215 Washington Court House, Ohio 43160. Wednesday, June 14, 2017:   Visitation Hours: 4:00pm – 8:00pm; Thursday, June 15, 2017: Celebration of Life: 11:00am -1200pm, Luncheon: 12:00pm-1:15pm, Processional 1:30pm-2:00pm, Committal: 2:00pm-2:215pm (Greenfield Cemetery)

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Washington C.H. or to Hospice of Fayette County.
