William “Bill” Johnston Jr.
October 2, 1933–December 3, 2017
William “Bill” Johnston, 84 or maybe 111, of Jeffersonville passed away December 3, 2017 at his residence. I was born in Columbus on October 2, 1933, to the late William J. and Lilliam Wolpert Johnston. I graduated from South High School in 1951, The Ohio State University and Capital University Law School. I retired from the Ohio Industrial Commission. I was in the Army Reserves during the Korean Era, A sometime Soldier, without distinction, sometimes drunk, never arrested, several marriages, also without distinction but basically good while they lasted, married to one good one and one bad woman before finding the right one, Rosa Tanner Ault Johnston. I am a member of Center Christian Church.
In addition to my parents I am preceded in death by my sister Carol Jean Chapman.
In addition to my wife, I am survived by my son Andy Johnston of Turtle Creek PA, Four daughters Shelly Willis of Columbus, Lori (Ron) Tilson of Pataskala and Stephanie (Tom) Hawkins of Newark, Katie (Mike) Ames of Charollett NC and my step children John (Elaine) Ault of Hillsboro, David (Robin) Ault of Wash C.H, Kenneth Ault and Cheri Mills of Jeffersonville.; My grandchildren Shawn and Nate Bosscawen, Ryan Lott, Rachel Calvey, Audrey and Zachary Hawkins, Christy Robinson, Emily and Andrew Ames, Jacob (Alexa) Ault, Sachary Ault, Charity (Brent) Carper and Hillary Ault, 8 great grandchildren and my special nephew Bob Bassett.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Center Christian Church 7168 Garringer Edgefield rd. Jeffersonville , Ohio 43128 with Pastor Randy Lee officiating.
