Alton (Gene) Smith 84, passed away on December 30, 2020 at Van Crest of New Carlisle, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on September 8, 1936 to the late William and Marie Smith.

Gene was employed by the Steel mill, N&W railroad and Dennison Hydraulics.

He loved camping, music, dancing and Ohio State.

Alton is survived by two daughters Vicki and Terri Smith and special friend Joyce Upton and friends Cortney Floyd and Janet Glynn, half-brother Paul Abdon numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Private Graveside service will be held By Friends and Family.
