Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Payton October 23, 1944 – October 18, 2021 Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Payton, 76 of Jeffersonville, passed away on October 18, 2021 at Adena Fayette County. He was born on October 23, 1944 in Deerfield, Ross county to the late Harley Bryan and Darlene Marie Detillion Payton. Ernie retied from Armco and was a Farmer. Ernie was a member of the Farm Burea and the Tired Iron Club. Ernie leaves beihind his wife Brenda Sword Payton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Judy Duncan. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Ernie Payton, Rebecca (Aaron) Markley, Debra (Daniel ) Knox and Julia (Matthew) Berryhill; brothers and sister, Thomas Payton, Harley “Bo” (Kathy) Payton, Roy (Sandy Brown) Payton, William Payton, Donna (Rodney) Meek, and Sharon (Marvin) Barker grandchildren Kate Thompson, Aidan Markley, Raymond Brill, Tiffany Smith, Vincent Berryhill, Robert “BJ” (Vatahanna) Thompson and Amber Haynes: Numerous great grandchildren. Private Family services will be held.
