Harold Spires
November 30, 1949- December 25, 2021
Harold E. Spires, 72 of Greenfield went to be with the Lord and Savior on Christmas Morning. He was born November 30, 1949, in Highland County to the late Paul Spires and Norma Persinger Hoover. Harold worked at Pennington Bakery for years, Farmed for many years and retired from Melvin Stone Quarry, If you knew Harold you knew he loved to tell many jokes, he loved the outdoors, hunting and bowling, He never knew a stranger and had the most wonderful heart. Harold was a Veteran of the United States Army and was very proud of his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Harold is preceded in death by his step father Jim Hoover and wife Darlene Spires.
Harold is survived by his son Chad Spires; daughter Libby (Jason) Pitzer; sister Sandy (Don) Watson; grandchildren Colton and Connor Spires and Tristan, Chayden, Jaelyn Pitzer; Special friend Bobbi Pitzer whom he cared deeply for; nieces Kelly (Chris) Ford, Tara (Derrick) Thompson and Katie (Rick) Seamon; two canine companions Macy and Noodles and several cousins.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday Jan 4, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Gathering Place with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating, Burial will be in the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church from 4-7PM on Monday January 3, 2022.
