Jane Ellen Seibert Dill left this life for her eternal home on Tuesday,
January 12, 2021 at Court House Manor, Washington C. H. She was born on
August 15, 1920 and had celebrated her 100th birthday last year.
She was born in Jeffersonville to Charles Edgar and Florence Ervin
Seibert. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1938. Upon
graduation she worked as a secretary for the Farm Bureau in Columbus.
Jane married Frank C. Dill on October 22, 1941. They celebrated 62
years together before his death in 2003. They had 3 daughters Carolyn J.
Barnes (John), Belpre,OH; Donna J. Watford (Bob), Littleton, CO; and Marilyn J. Radel (Sam),
Findlay, OH.
She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren: Todd
(Diana) Barnes, Haley and Austin, Richmond, VA; Matt (Mandy) Barnes,
Nathan, Charlie,Frank and Matthew, Galena, OH; Christie (Juan) Fletcher-Lopez, Jonathan,
Juan Paul, and Joe, Alomosa, CO; Jennifer (John) Beattie, Joshua and
Jackson, Golden, CO;Tracey Kardotzke, Jane, Mia, Kade and Bo, Green Springs, OH; Jody
Vermilya, Grant and Mattie, Findlay and Samantha Radel, Findlay.
During her life long residency in Fayette County Jane worked as a
secretary for Grace UM Church, Fayette County Extension Office and
Federal Land Bank from which she retired in 1983.
Jane was a member of Grace UM Church where she served as a Sunday school
teacher, sang in the choir, was a trustee and served on the Endowment
Committee.
She was a member of the UM Women. She and Frank also managed Gardner
Retirement Village for 40 years. Jane was a 4-H advisor for more than 20 years.
She belonged to Reber
Chapter of Eastern Star, Fayette Co. Historical Society, William Horney
Chapter of DAR, Fayette Co.
Commission on Aging and the Society for the Disabled Board. Jane was
nominated and inducted into the Central Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of
Fame in 2006 in Columbus.
Most of all, Jane loved life and being involved with her family, friends
and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert, husband and
daughter Marilyn.
A private family service will be held with burial to follow in the
Washington Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a
contribution to the Fayette County 4-H
Development Fund, Grace UM Church, or a charity of your choice.
