June Edna Houseman Stegall Moore passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021. She was born July 26, 1930 in Jeffersonville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Moore, her parents Harry and Doris Houseman, a daughter Teresa (Moore) Bryant, her sister Annalea (Houseman) Kayar, brother Roger Houseman, granddaughter Sarah (Moore) Gargyi and daughter-in-law Anna (Jones) Moore.
June is survived by a large family, including her children Donna (John) Newman, Douglas (Brenda) Moore, Jeffrey Moore, Mark (Debbie) Moore, Loraine (Brian) Foster and Bruce (Kim) Moore. She has 11 surviving grandchildren, John Newman, Michele (Newman) Logan, Yvonne Moore, Susie (Moore) Andreasson, Mark Moore, Mallory Moore, Patrick (Bryant) Houde, James Bryant, Lydia Foster, Thomas Moore and Christine Blanton. There are 14 great grandchildren with the 15th due in January. Also surviving are her sister Janet (Houseman) Butterfield and brother Joseph Houseman. She has one niece, one nephew and many cousins. While residing at Carriage Court Assisted Living in Washington Court House the last two years she made many friends who she considered her extended family.
June enjoyed being involved in the PTA and Girl Scouts as well as sewing and quilting. She was an amazing cook and turned that love into two careers. First, she achieved one of her proudest professional accomplishments, earning her certificate as a registered dietician which resulted in her becoming the Dietary Manager at Court House Manor. Later she owned the Midway Cafe in Sedalia aka Midway, Ohio.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm and immediately followed by a celebration of life service at the Morrow Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
