Wilma “Jean” Higgins
February 17,1934- January 8, 2021
Wilma Jean Higgins age 86, of Washington C.H. passed away Friday January 8, 2021 at 11:30pm at Court House Manor.
She was born in Greenfield, Ohio on February 17,1934 to the late Rodney Ellison and Juanita (Paul) Ellison. Jean was a member of the Jeffersonville Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the Women's Christian Fellowship and JOB Sunday School Class. She was Secretary of the Jeffersonville School for several years and also worked at the Prime Outlet Mall as a Customer Service Representative until the time of retirement. Jean spent her free time, quilting, crocheting, coloring and watching the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. Jean was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and a dear friend to many. She positively impacted the lives of all she came in contact with.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband Dudley Keith Higgins in 2009 and two brothers Kenny Ellison, David Ellison, and sister, Katie Smith.
Jean is survived by her three sons, Kevin (Becky) Higgins of Wooster, Steve Higgins of Washington C.H, Ryan (Lori) Higgins of Washington C.H., brother Richard (Jeanie.) Ellison, sister Margaret (Ben) Cantrell, grandchildren Meghan (Jarrod) Snell, Heather (Seth) Scrimo, Sarah Higgins, Tanner Higgins, Haylee Higgins, Jacob Higgins,
great-grandchildren, Hunter, Aiden, and Ellie Snell and Dominick Scrimo, two brother-in-law's, Geno Knapp and Gary Smith, two sister-in-law's, Brenda Everhart and Joanne Higgins.
Memorials may be directed to the Jeffersonville Church of Christ.
